Federal medical access is a pathway, not retail permission
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) says medicinal cannabis may be prescribed through an access pathway. For unapproved products, a doctor or nurse practitioner may need to apply through the Special Access Scheme or Authorised Prescriber scheme before writing a prescription. This is a clinician-led access process, not a general consumer retail rule.
