The short answer
THC is the main intoxicating cannabinoid; it can impair coordination, reaction time, attention and decision-making. Health Canada says CBD does not cause a "high" like THC, but that does not make CBD risk-free or prove a product treats a condition. A label reports product content; it cannot tell exactly how you will feel or how long impairment will last.

Read the label without over-reading it
Check the product's THC and CBD amounts, serving/container information and required warnings. Do not treat a higher CBD number as an antidote to THC or a guarantee against impairment. Effects vary with product, route, other substances, medicines and the person. Avoid driving or hazardous activities when impaired; for medication issues, see our interaction guide.
Questions readers ask

Health Canada says CBD does not cause the same intoxicating "high" as THC, but CBD can still have effects and risks.
Does CBD cancel THC impairment?
These sources do not establish that a CBD label amount reliably cancels THC impairment. Do not use it as a safety guarantee.
